This
medieval castle has been a cornerstone of the history of Carlisle
for over 900 years. Today it is the vista from our webcam site based
high on our BBC offices. The castle's many ancient chambers, stairways
and dungeons just seep with tales from the past, and house the Museum
of the King's Own Royal Border Regiment.
Oh..
and, er sorry about the lampstand in the middle of the picture -
we can't do much about that although it serves as a useful marker
to show where the citys' new Millennium Gallery is located.
If
you're on the castle side of the road head for the castle driveway
and if you're on the radio station side of the road, look for the
Tullie House Museum.
We
update every five minutes during daylight hours, Monday to Friday,
and throughout the afternoon at weekends.
