Nick
White obtained his PhD in astrophysics in 1998 and now works for
a South Cumbrian lighting company after a stint as a writer.

|
Nick
White didn't need much persuading to write for us!
|
He
is secretary of the Furness and South Lakeland Astronomy Society.
He
owns a telescope and regularly observes the night sky from his home
in Ulverston or with the society at their observatory in Newton
near Dalton-in-Furness.
Nick
has been able to take digital photographs of the planets using his
telescope and a simple camera.
Not
one to conform to the norm, Nick has plenty of other obsessions
besides the night sky - most notably sculpting, history and architecture.
