Today:
Most places will be dry with some sunshine. However there will be a few showers around, mainly in Pennine areas where they will be wintry. It will be rather cold in a moderate locally fresh north to northwesterly breeze.
Tonight:
It will be dry and very cold with lengthy clear spells and widespread and locally sharp frost. The wind will become light in strength and variable in direction.
Tuesday:
The morning will be dry and bright, although early sunshine will fade as cloud builds up from the west. Patchy rain, with snow on the hills, will arrive towards evening.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
All three days look likely to be unsettled with bright or sunny intervals, but also showers, probably heavy or prolonged at times. Windy in places. Snow at times on hills.
