Mark explains what living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is like and how it manifests itself for him.

Mark is 24 and is from the Eden Valley. He suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) which is the second most common mental issue after depression. He is currently in his final year at the Northern Film School in Leeds.

My 12yr old son was diagnosed with OCD in September of last year, it has affected his and our lives so much, he is currently in a specialist unit for mental health issues at Booth Hall Children's Hospital. I can immagine what you are going through after seeing what my son has been through. I have not found any support groups for younger people, the ones i have spoken to will only support 16 up's. Good luck and i hope you achieve all you want and more.
Kindest Regards Janice Hayhurst

it takes lot of courage for ocd patient to come out like this in public and speak about his illness. this is one of first and essential stage for creating awareness esp about mental disorder or mental issues.
