Andrew Watkinson (violin) & Martin Roscoe (piano)
Andrew Watkinson leads a varied musical career as first violin of
the Endellion String Quartet with which he travels all over the
world. He recently recorded the set of 12 concertos La Stravaganza
for Naxos Records.
For many years, he was leader of the City of London Sinfonia, as
well as directing recordings with them for Virgin Classics and BMG.
He was director of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and continues
to be invited to guest direct orchestras across Europe.
The renowned pianist, Martin Roscoe, continues to give the Brewery
invaluable support and advice on the chamber music programme, accompanies
Andrew Watkinson for this performance.
Martin is known as one of Britains most accomplished recitalists,
he has worked with many leading conductors and chamber musicians
including Sir Simon Rattle, Libor Pesek, Peter Donohoe and the Endellion
and Chilingirian Quartets.

Renowned pianist Noriko Ogawa is one of Japans hottest exports.
She records regularly for the BBC as recitalist and soloist, gives
chamber recitals and appears with the major UK orchestras, including

Richard Harwood (cello) & Gretel Dowdeswell (piano)
Winner of the Pierre Fournier Award 2004 and lauded for his technical
mastery and sublime musical interpretations, the 24 year-old English
cellist began his studies with Joan Dickson, before continuing with
other eminent teachers such as Steven Doane, David Waterman, and
Ralph Kirshbaum (Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester).

Since
Richard's critically acclaimed concerto debut at the age of 10,
winning the Audi Junior Musician Award at the age of 12 (the youngest
ever winner) and his BBC Radio 3 debut at the age of thirteen, Richard
now enjoys life as an international recitalist and chamber musician.
