The
Redfern at St Annes, Carlisle.
This was one of the may pubs controled by the State
Management Scheme in north Cumbria.
The Redfern, built in 1938, was named in honour of the chief buildings'
architect of the scheme, Harry Redfern.
Even though Redfern's name is on the plans for this pub; it was
his assisstant, Joseph Sneddon, who designed and built it.
