WHEN
I WAS YOUNG, THE FAVOURITE DRINK WAS MARSH'S SARSAPARILLA , OR "
SASS " ,WHICH MUST HAVE SOLD MORE BOTTLES THAN ALL THE OTHER FLAVOURS
OF POP PUT TOGETHER. THIS IS A REMINDER OF THOSE DAYS , PHOTOGRAPHED
AT THE JUNCTION OF DALKEITH STREET AND ABBEY ROAD. I CAN'T DECIPHER
THE TOP PART, BUT YOU CAN SEE QUITE CLEARLY " SAY MARSH'S " .I '
M CERTAIN ONE OF THEIR SLOGANS WAS " DON'T SAY SASS, SAY MARSH'S
"

I
think that the sign on the corner of dalkeith st.& abbey
rd. proclaims " I SAY MARSHS" and the lettering on
top is an overwrite of VICTORIA(SHOWROOMS)?these signs are fascinating!keep
up the good work! wally bond
