This
sign is soon to go for ever, as it is on the half demolished "Be-Wise"
store in Workington, making way for the new town centre development.
Does it say "Tesco"? We have only lived here 4 years, so we don't
know if it used to be Tesco.
Can anyone enlighten us?

The
store was Tesco's at one point and was actually a good "in
town" store. However I also seem to recall Presto's been somewhere
in Workington. maybe the same store? The sign had a magician/wizard
as the logo. Nick Hazlewood
I'm
99.9% sure that Presto used to be where the doors of Marks
and Spencer are now, next to Greggs bakery. Ailsa Sharp
