To make life easy for you, here's a quick list of what we've got listed:

» Free office software
» Free Games

» Free graphics software

» Free multimedia software

» Free security software

» Free stuff that's not just a computer program

Free office software
602 PC Suite
, combined word processor, spreadsheet, photo editor and digital photo organiser and compatible with MS Office Word/Excel files.

EasyOffice from e-press another fully functional piece of office software that is also compatible with Word and Excel files. This will also create PDF files from your documents.

Free games
Popcap offer free trials of their games to play online or download. I can especially recommend Rocket Mania ... but don't blame me when you start missing meals, baths, going to work or having friends because of it!

Big Fish Games has a whole host of different games that can be downloaded for free. They are all categorised so you should be able to find something you like.

Free graphics software
IrfanView
, one of the best image viewers available, but it does a whole lot more than let you look at pictures! Among other things it will let you crop and resize, save your images as a slide show or screen saver, screen grab and print your pictures too.

Cheez, a free image cataloguing program. Cheez will also let you add comments to your images and create web-ready photo albums of your pictures.

ImageForge provides you with a set of powerful tools for painting and editing images, photos or other graphics.

Free multimedia software
ABC Video Roll
a free video editing package, that will let you fade and mix videos, as well as adding text, music and graphics and the odd special effect or two.

Audacity is a free audio editing tool for digital audio ~ basically any audio you play on your PC! These include WAV, AIFF, and MP3.

Free security software
AVG Anti-virus
, provide a free anti-virus package on their website. You just need to register with them to get a serial number for the package.

Zone Labs have a free firewall utility available from their website. A firewall is an essential piece of software if you have a permanent broadband connection to the internet.

Finally on programs
Don't forget the operating system on your PC usually comes with a host of free utilities to make your life easier.

Windows XP comes with a built in video editing tool, word processor and games too.

Not just programs!
Along with all these sites that offer free programs, there are some sites that offer real products for free!

A quick surf about shows that currently you can get:
Free CDs, play-shapes, washing powder, cosmetics and more.

Most of these items are provided by companies trying to promote their products and they can be quite difficult to find if you're just surfing the internet...

However a few people have taken it upon themselves to list nearly all the free product offers they can find.

A few of these sites are:
Free UK Stuff - who have been listing free stuff since 1998.
Student free stuff - as the name says it's targeted towards students, but most of the stuff is available to anyone.
Free stuff junction - similar to the previous sites and filled with free offers and links
