The Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary's Church in Dalton and St Peter's Church in Ireleth was inspired by an exhibition in Canada where professional interior designers were challenged to decorated a tree on a theme which started: "The Best of..."

Tree 15
'The Best of Health'

The churches invited schools, groups and organisations in Dalton, Newton, Askam, Ireleth and beyond to accept the same challenge.

Visitors are invited to vote for their favourites and to donate to the charities the nominated by the groups.

The winning tree will receive a cash prize!

Browse through our gallery of photographs of the trees - perhaps you'll find inspiration for the decorations on your own tree!
