It's part of an initiative by the royal family - the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, and other senior royals have been in other regions to see what Britain has to offer visitors.

Prince Andrew and Ian Forrest

He'd been at the Rheged Discovery Centre at Penrith, where he opened the Everest exhibition commemorating the first ascent of the world's highest mountain fifty years ago.

The Prince then visited the Theatre By The Lake, before going on to Ambleside, where he met the Langdale/Ambleside mountain rescue team who were demonstrating their work to primary school children from Morecambe.
