When
I was Cumbria in May, several of the pictures I took were of the
churches. Most of them had to to with my research into my family
history. Several of my relation lived in Gilcrux. This particular
afternoon (Saturday, May 14, 2005) I was traveling alone. I had
rented a car and traveled the area south of Aspatria where many
of the family was located in the 1800's. I ate at an excellent pub,
Mason's Arms in Gilcrux that day. I've since learned of at least
one ancestor who is buried there. A distant cousin who lives in
Cumbria has sent me information regarding the stone.
