Blue Texels are the same as ordinary Texels but express the recessive "blue" Agouti coat pattern gene. This gives them the distinctive badger-like face markings and fleece which shows a steely blue colour when the flank wool staples are opened.

Hey what about Hebrideans!!! WE have some and theyre a rare breed -and most folk would know them from the rather tasty Black Sheep ale which was named in their honour!
