My name is Andrew Clarke, I am an artist based in Carlisle but working throughout Cumbria. My main area or work is within fine art photography, which I also study at the city's Brampton Road Campus. Although studying and working throughout Cumbria, I originally come from Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland where I also have as much dedication to my craft. ![]() Andrew Clarke
Each image is created taking nocturnal composition into account, for 10min exposures (handheld). During which time the relationship between the landscape and the photographer become more realized. No matter where I stop physically along the walk I will always be 'halfway from home', but the journey is as spiritual as much as it is physical. I use this approach to photography as a way of trying to understand how our relationship with the landscape and how we view it and disconnect ourselves from it.
