As Appleby horse fair looms, the reality of what it is to be a Gypsy became the lesson of the day for a group of children at Kirkby Stephen Primary School. Help playing audio/video Appleby Fair will this year provide a unique opportunity if you want to learn more about Gypsy and Traveller culture. A series of educational sessions have been arranged to run both before and during Appleby Fair this year so that people can learn more about the unique history and culture of Gypsies and Travellers.
