Learning about Travellers and Gypsies

A new education project aims to educate people on the history of the Appleby Horse Fair.

Appleby Fair will this year provide a unique opportunity if you want to learn more about Gypsy and Traveller culture.

A series of educational sessions have been arranged to run both before and during Appleby Fair this year so that people can learn more about the unique history and culture of Gypsies and Travellers.

The Fair is the largest annual gathering of its kind in Britain and as always will transform the town of Appleby when it runs from 4th to 10th June 2009
