Children In Need

It's the first time that BBC Radio Cumbria has produced a calendar in aid of BBC Children in Need. And from the start we wanted it to be high quality, quirky and something you'd be happy to have on your wall.

Behind the scenes

A small team spent several days in September and October travelling around the county with Pudsey Bear. We chose a range of locations and asked our presenters to meet us to have their photo taken with Pudsey.

We've themed the months so that for example February reflects Valentines Day and November is all about Bonfire Night. Finding love hearts and sparklers in September was quite a challenge but we managed it.

We also caused quite a stir at some of the locations. After all you don't expect to find Pudsey Bear wandering through the grounds at Levens Hall near Kendal do you? And setting up a table and chairs in Barrow raised a few eyebrows!

The photos are black and white but with Pudsey and other prominent items picked out in colour. We are delighted with the results and we hope you will be too.
