Art and artists

Emma was born in West Cumbria, and from an early age, she has taken an interest in art. After completing an A Level in Art, Emma went on to Cumbria Institute of the Arts to do a Diploma in Art and Design. In 2004, she graduated with an honours degree in Graphic Design.  After much soul searching she realised she needed to fulfil her passion for fine art, wherein she is able to incorporate her flair and self-expression to produce detailed artworks with a personal touch.

Emma mainly works from photographs using pencils, pastels & acrylic paints. She currently experiments in a variety of styles, and she hopes one day she will discover her specialty and develop her own style of art which will become her future trademark.

Emma recently set up her own business, named ‘Expressions’ in which she produces artwork on a commissioned basis. This includes family and pet portraits, celebrity portraits, and drawings of buildings and landscapes. She also creates stylish and unique artwork to display in homes or offices, to complement any style or setting to brighten the environment.

In her spare time, she enjoys drawing wildlife and nature scenes which she will be displaying in local galleries and exhibitions.
