School Report 2008You are in: Cumbria > School Report 2008 > School Report diary 1 ![]() Beth speaks to Huw Edwards via radio car School Report diary 1Beth Read Beth's diary from her day working on BBC School Report 2008 ... 9.00I come in to the classroom where everyone is gathered. I pick up a note pad and pen and get to work. Noting current events from the paper. Then everyone gets told or decides what they're doing. ![]() 10.00Me and Toby were given a separate task to everyone else, we have to interview the very famous Huw Edwards (journalist, presenter, news reader). We are now just finding out information about him to write questions to ask him. I'm really excited and nervous. 11.00Structuring everything together I’m writing my script so if I get nervous talking to him I’ve got it all written down. I’m also writing this diary. I'm starting to feel nervous about meeting Huw, I hope it all goes well. ![]() Nearly 12.00Me and Toby go to the BBC van we put on our headphones while we nervously wait to talk to Huw. We then talked to him he was really nice and answered our questions. We asked him what time does his day starts. He said 2.00 then he has meetings and said he writes his script them goes on air at 6.00 and 10.00. I also asked him does he have his own dressing room , he laughed and said this is the BBC you don’t have dressing rooms but he said there was a make up room where he kept his many ties and then I asked him what was his favourite tie, he said he was very into superstition and has a lucky tie which is blue with red spots. I loved interviewing him he was very nice and funny, so if I see him on the news with a blue tie on with red spots I will know that’s his lucky tie. 1.05I have really loved taking part in this project I can take a lot of things I have learned away with me.
