WANTED: Ghoulishly grim goings on

We're searching Cumbria for some ghoulish goings-on this Halloween!!! And we want your help ...

Cumbrian Ghosts

Gosforth Hall hotel is said to have its upper floors made from the timbers from a shipwreck, and that these timbers groan with the spirits of the sailors who lost their lives in the wreck.

At Dalston Hall Lady Jane is said to appear in Tudor dress in the gallery above the manorial hall.

At Croglin, a vampire is said to have stalked the tenants of the Grange during the mid 19th Century.

We want to hear from you if you've ever seen a ghost or heard something strange go bump in the night!

We want your Cumbrian ghost stories - we don't want you to make a story up ... we want to hear from you if you've actually seen or heard something in Cumbria that would baffle Derek Acorah or give James Herbert and Stephen King a run for their money!

We're going to tell the best stories on BBC Radio Cumbria  on Halloween and you could win something spooky if your story is used on air!!

Call BBC Radio Cumbria now on 0845 305 11 22 or e-mail us at radiocumbria@bbc.co.uk or fill in the form below, and we'll do the rest.
