Monday 12th October

Cleator Moor - at St. John's Church an Illustrated Talk "Art and Spirituality" will be given by Revd Dr Nicholas Cranfield, Art Critic for the Church Times and Vicar of All Saints, Blackheath. It begins at 7pm, there'll also be an art show and sale by local artists

Brampton - At The United Reformed Church, Harvest Entertainment by The Brampton Players' Choir begins at 7pm and will be followed by a sale of produce. Admission of £2 includes tea and biscuits

Keswick - Carlisle Diocesan Evangelical fellowship meets in Crosthwaite Parish Room. The Annual General Meeting begins at 7.30pm with speaker Canon Colin Randall - "Amazing Love, the message of the Cross"

Wednesday 14th October

Kendal - Aglow International meets at The Heaves Hotel at 7.15pm. The guest speaker will be Shirley Richardson. All ladies welcome

Carlisle - Cumbria Theological Society meets in The Vestry at St Cuthbert's Church at 7.30pm. The Very Revd Michael Sadgrove, Dean of Durham Cathedral presents "Envy: theological and spiritual reflections in a time of recession"

Swarthmoor - At Swarthmoor Quaker Meeting House, a half hour meeting for Worship begins at 7.30pm

Thursday 15th October

Barrow in Furness - Lunch in St George's Centre will be served from 12 noon, a hot 2 course meal and a cup of tea will cost £2. No need to book

Blindcrake - Cockermouth Mechanics' Band plays from 7.30pm in Blindcrake Village Hall. Tickets are £5 and money raised is for St. Michael's Church, Isel

Friday 16th October

Cleator Moor - Cleator Moore Methodist Church host "A Night At The Musicals" with Helen Moore, plus children from St Patrick's and Montreal schools, starting at 7pm

Longtown - A concert by Dalston Male Voice Choir begins at 7.30pm in Arthuret Church

Cockermouth - Cockermouth Bible Society Action Group host the  Autumn Concert by the musical group "Side by Side" begins at 7.30pm in the United Reformed Church on Main Street

Saturday 17th October

Kendal - Church Fellowship Autumn Coffee Morning is on from 9.30 until 11.30. There'll be stalls, cakes, books and tombola, bric a brac and lots more

Cumwhinton - a Coffee Morning will be held in Cumwhinton Village Hall from 10am until 12 noon, with a cake stall, books and plants. Admission is £1.50 to include coffee and home-made scone, with money raised in aid of St Johns Church Cotehill with Cumwhinton

Cockermouth - Soup and sandwiches lunch will be served between 11.30 and 1pm at Lorton Street Methodist Church. Money raised is for the British Red Cross Therapeutic Care. There'll also be a raffle, cakes, books and bric a brac stalls

Keswick - Colwyn Male Voice Choir perform from 7.30 in the Parish Church of Keswick St John. Tickets £5 and £2 for children
