Lauren Laverne
Lauren Laverne began her recording career early, forming indie band Kenickie while still at school. The group split in 1998, and Lauren moved into presenting for radio and television. Her success as a DJ for XFM has now been followed by a move to BBC Radio 6 Music and credits for television include CD:UK, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Channel 4's Transmission. Working on The Culture Show since 2006, Lauren now is one of the two co-presenters of the show.

Mark Kermode
Film critic, broadcaster and musician Mark Kermode is the resident film critic for BBC's Radio Five Live and BBC News on BBC World, and appears regularly on Newsnight Review. He is Contributing Editor to Sight & Sound and the author of two BFI Modern Classics, on The Exorcist and The Shawshank Redemption. He has written and presented television documentaries including Fire in the Sky and On the Edge of Blade Runner. Mark has a PhD in Modern English and American Horror Fiction, and is a Fellow of the English and Film Department of Southampton University. He plays the double bass in the skiffle band The Dodge Brothers.
