Public transport turns into a private nightmare for Lisa.

Episode 5F17
Written by Brian Scully
Directed by Pete Michels
Also starring: Pamela Hayden, Tress MacNeille, Maggie Roswell
Special guest voice: Marcia Wallace (as Ms Krabappel)

Premise: Lisa wants to visit the last day of an Egyptian exhibition at the Springsonian but her plans are ruined when Bart needs treatment. Lisa opts to get on a bus and go by herself, but ends up on the wrong side of town. Homer tries to rescue her.

Features: Mr Burns, Carl, Lenny, Moe, Barney, Grampa, Jasper, Chief Wiggum, Agnes Skinner, Skinner, Groundskeeper Willie, Superintendent Chalmers, Milhouse, Snake, Dr Hibbert, Android's Dungeon Guy, Cletus.

Couch: As the family sit, Nelson Muntz pulls the couch away from beneath them. Ha-ha!

Trivia:

  • Yukingham Palace is a joke shop where you can get Itching Powder, Heart Attack Powder and Impotence Powder.

Look out for: Homer praying to Superman, the fighting geese, and best of all, Lisa's manipulation of Homer over the phone to ensure she can go on the bus. Her final moments with Homer as they break into the Springsonian are delightful as well.

Notes: A smashing episode, loads of good jokes and clever situations (how come Springfield has a Russian Quarter?) and best of all, Lisa working intelligently. The teaming up of father and daughter has rarely been more enjoyable and lovely. Gives you a warm feeling.
