The Simpsons | Episode Guide | Season Seven
Team Homer

Homer's not bowled over by Mr Burns.

Episode 3F10
Written by Mark Scully
Directed by Mark Kirkland
Also starring: Doris Grau, Pamela Hayden, Russi Taylor

Premise: Homer puts together a bowling team. All's going well - until feeble, unsporting Mr Burns demands to come on side. Principal Skinner's got plans, too - he's going to introduce school uniforms.

Features: Quimby, Krusty, Bumblee Man, Groundskeeper Willie, Patty and Selma, Nelson, the Flanders, Moe, Barney, Apu, Otto, Wiggum, Mr Burns, Smithers, Ms Krabappel, Martin, Jimbo.

Couch: The Simpsons rush in - as do a family of mice.

Homage: Homer's stolen Oscar was awarded to Dr Haing S. Nor as best supporting actor in The Killing Fields (Roland Joffe, 1984). He sings a snatch of Styx's 1985 hit Mr Roboto.

Notes: One of our least favourite episodes. The sub-plot, involving new school uniforms, is a lot more satisfying than the bowling story, with the fashion parade a particular highlight.
