Frank 'N' Furter must surely be acknowledged as the scientist who has made the greatest contribution to medical and space knowledge. To create another human being has been the deep desire and the most haunting challenge that has preoccupied many great scientific minds over centuries. Frank 'N' Furter achieves this in the Rocky Horror Show.

His incredible breakthrough in the demanding world of genetics produces Rocky, a man so perfect in every way his creator falls instantly in love with him. This emotion obsesses him to the exclusion of all rational thought that has driven him to this momentous event. His contribution to space exploration, his incredible inventions that have enabled him and his acolytes to travel in specially created modules to distant planets fade in to the background of his conscious mind as his emotions take over.

Here again he becomes a pioneer, and driven by his powerful sexual urges and rampant libido he behaves in such an uninhibited and provocatively sensual way, he challenges us to question our own sexuality. This for some can be very disturbing, and so in the field of psychology he is making another scientific breakthrough.

Here you have this amazing character, larger than life, whose incredible scientific skills have enabled him to create another human being, and a near perfect one physically, whom nobody can resist. He advances he has made in space exploration and development are way beyond anything achieved by any other individual. In two separate areas of science, Frank 'N' Furter is above any other individual, living or dead.

When you add all this to his magnetic personality, which is so compelling, he holds sway over all who come into contact with him. Also, the ability to influence or seduce anyone of either sex whom he wishes to bend to his way of thinking, whether of conventional morality or otherwise. This surely is the man who stands alone among the giants of science fiction, and deserves the title of number one in the pantheon of screen scientists. He has also created a huge cult following of very passionate and dedicated admirers.
