New Trek film go?

Writer assigned to pen a further Star Trek film.

With the end of Enterprise and the suspension of any further development of Trek on the TV, you could be forgiven for thinking that a further film would be not be high on Paramount's slate.

Apparently you'd be wrong, for the company has announced that Erik Jendresen is working on a draft for the eleventh film in the franchise.

Jenderson's previous work includes Band of Brothers.

There is no news as to which crew the film would focus on, but with Enterprise axed it would seem unlikely that the movie will also be a prequel story, as rumoured.

So, the poor Enterprise cast are likely to be signing on at the interspatial dole office for a while yet.
