T'Pol trouble

Enterprise actress reveals dissatisfaction with series.

In an interview with the Cinefantastique website, Jolene Blalock reveals she doesn't always agree with the scriptwriters over the portrayal of T'Pol and Vulcan culture.

"I don't believe she should be so desperate to be like everyone else. The original Star Trek had a very simple message that I took from it, and that is that not everyone is like me, and I'm not perfect, and nobody's perfect, and that's okay. That really helped me," she said.

The actress really worries about plot inconsistencies, bless her, citing the way T'pol eats as just one example.

"There's the characteristic where Vulcans don't eat food with their hands, and yet they'll write scenes where T'Pol is eating popcorn at a movie or Trip will bring T'Pol a peach. It's just so strange to me."

Oh well, if rumours of cancellation at the end of season four are true she won't have to lose any more sleep.
