Big Screen Cartoon Heroes

Plans for Thundercats and Masters of the Universe feature films revealed.

Dark Horizons.com has reported some exciting news about plans to bring two 80's classic cartoons to the big screen.

New Line have commissioned British scriptwriter Ben Trebilcook (currently attached to Die Hard: Die Hardest) to write a treatment for a Thundercats movie.

The story involves the residents of Thundera fleeing from the Mutants, setting up home on Third and defending themselves from the evil Mumm-Ra.

The site also reports that there are plans to bring Masters of the Universe back for another live-action movie.

Like the Thundercats movie, the script for the movie details how it all began - back when Adam first turned into He-Man. Eric Christian Olsen (Smallville, Pearl Harbour) has been linked to the role of the big-biceped one with Tim Roth and Jude Law tipped to play the evil Skeletor.
