After a gap of 36 years, TV executives are bringing back Mr Ed, the comedy about a talking horse.
Fox TV will be basing the new version on the same premise as the original, which featured architect Wilbur Post and his wife Carol who escaped to a new life in the country. They are unprepared for the fact that the farmhouse already has a resident - a talking palomino horse.
But it is thought the horse's hillbilly accent will be dropped in favour of a voice featuring hip-hop lingo, to appeal to today's kids.
