Review: Alias - Unveiled

A computer virus is destroying the world in this week's episode.

Another gripping episode, as Vaughn follows Lauren around during her lunch hour, and completely fails to notice that his wife's a spy, even though she throws away half-completed to-do lists ("Collect Dry Cleaning. Betray Country. Cat Food."), and narrowly avoids being assassinated in the car park.

It all turns into a mad caper across Europe, first to find a hacker, and then to discover a devious doctor, who, it turns out knows far too much about Sydney and the mysterious Passenger. It gets insanely tense when Lauren has to escape from a panic room before Vaughn breaks in and discovers that she's the mole.

It's all very neatly done, and shows a lot of cleverness. Until that bit at the end of the episode, when, curious, Vaughn checks Lauren's suitcase, and discovers it's got a secret compartment full of weapons, passports, and cunning disguise wigs. Oh, for heaven's sake.
