The Puzzle:
Justin Mallory, "ghost hunter" and investigator into the spirit world, is a man dedicated to exposing fraud and exploitation in all its forms. But when he dies in a tragic boating accident and his body mysteriously disappears, is it possible that he has been wrong, and that his spirit is desperately trying to communicate with his lover Geraldine?

Jonathan and Carla struggle to find an explanation for Mallory's death, as gypsies continue to pass on messages from beyond the grave.

What's the big deal, and can Jonathan spot the clue to a mysterious fax that's been bugging everyone? [Solution]
Quiz
Five quick questions to test your knowledge of the episode.
Alan Davies
"People can often convey the wrong thing entirely [in messages] but as far as punctuation goes. I've seen that book, Eats, Shoots and Leaves - the book of people who are enraged about punctuation - and I certainly am personally very opposed to the misuse of the apostrophe 'S'. I know that David would be as well.
David Renwick
"The whole business with the harvest fly was because we just get inundated with them at home during the summer. It's just black specks everywhere.

"A black speck landed on a book or a writing pad that I was working on at the time. It was but a small mental step to imagine, "Oh I wonder if that was a comma? How could that affect and alter the meaning of something very radically to the point where it might even be the difference between life and death?"

"That was the starting point. Then you work backwards from that and try to create some kind of sentence or piece of text who's meaning would be very radically altered by the insertion of a comma.

"The 78 rpm record was Petite Fleur by Sidney Bechet, a great favourite of mine (and Woody Allen's). There was originally some discussion between Geraldine and Carla about how much the track meant to Justin, but we had to cut it for time."
Looks familiar:
Lorelei King, who plays Geraldine, previously appeared in the season two episode Time Waits for Norman, as Norman Stangerson's New York based publishing colleague Rebecca Knape. She is the only actress to play two different main roles in the series. Rob Jarvis, who also appeared in Time Waits for Norman, as well as No Trace of Tracy, is the only actor.
The Solution: (point your mouse over the space below)
A tiny insect has landed upon the fax received by Mallory, adding what appears to be a comma and changing the entire meaning of the document. It now seems that Geraldine's husband has refused to divorce her, turning Mallory to the bottle and ultimate death when he cannot control his boat near treacherous rocks.
