In 1975 Womble mania continued to grip Britain but
no longer with human-sized singing Wombles or the television programme
but with toy Wombles.
There were cuddly Wombles, bendy plastic Wombles, edible Wombles,
Wombles bins, Wombles jumpers…the list went on and on. You could
also collect your pennies in a Womble money box.
