Clangers are charming pink aliens with long noses and big flapping
feet that live on a blue-cratered planet. They like green soup and
blue-string pudding, and live in harmony with the other inhabitants
- like the Soup Dragon, Froglets and Glow Buzzers. Very peace and
love!
Courtesy and non-violence are all-important. They have big ears,
which they pull over their eyes when they are sad.
Knitted aliens live happily together under their planet's surface
in caves protected by saucepan lids. The noise of the lids being
closed gave the Clangers their name.
One episode made use of the US flag left by the moon landing crew
earlier in 1969.
