Star Trek XI?

Star Trek producer reveals a further film is in the works.

Talking to Dreamwatch magazine, Star Trek producer Rick Berman has said that he has begun working on a new Star Trek film - the eleventh in the franchise.

"I am involved in the very early stages of what could be the next Star Trek movie," Berman told Dreamwatch. "It's something I will be producing with two other producers."

The news may come as a bit of a surprise – many felt the failure of Star Trek: Nemesis at the box office would spell the end of the Trek films.

Berman gave little away about the plot of the film, but he did say it would be a prequel.

At the moment Berman is developing a totally new science fiction series with fellow Star Trek: Enterprise creator Brannon Braga.

Dreamwatch magazine issue 117 is on sale on 29th April.
