The series revolved around the mid-life crisis of Ria Parkinson (Wendy Craig), seemingly a happily married mother of two teenage sons. Other main characters were her husband Ben, two sons Russell and Adam (Nicholas Lyndhurst) and the 'other man' Leonard. Apparently love is like a butterfly, soft and gentle as a sigh!
