Click for More Pictures Bonnie was part of Blue Peter dog Goldie's second litter, born on 3rd February 1986. She joined the show after her mother retired, and went on to prove just as popular.

Her early training was done by Richard Duckworth, with help from Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis.

During her thirteen years with the show she appeared in over 1,150 programmes and co-starred with 16 presenters.

Her her most memorable moments with the show included the edition where she was reunited with her brothers and sisters to celebrate their third birthday on 2nd February 1989. Alongside handler and presenter Anthea Turner she won the Olympia dog's agility course two years running.

Like her mother, Bonnie gave birth to a litter of puppies who went onto be successful guide dogs.

On her last appearance on 24th February 1999 Bonnie was presented with a special collar inlaid with a gold Blue Peter badge. She retired to live with Leonie Pocock, her off screen owner. Bonnie died on 17th April 2001, at the grand old age of 15.
