Head on end of Buffy (Spoilers)

Giles Buffy's Brit mainstay, Anthony Stewart Head, has said he feels season seven will be the show's last.

Speaking to the Sci Fi Wire news site, the Giles actor explained why he believes that Buffy's current season will be its final one.

"[Joss Whedon] has brought it neatly back into a full cycle.  It's come back to the high school... It's reached the end of the story."

Despite feeling that this season would be the right place to stop, Head does accept that others may have different ideas.

"Who knows?," he said, about the possibility that the show could continue even without Sarah Michelle Gellar. "In the world of TV land and network studios, nothing the creative team wants... necessarily happens.  Someone may slap a wad of cash on the table and say 'It must not end.'

Head was speaking from Los Angeles, where he's currently recording scenes in which Giles returns to Sunnydale. Whilst there, he's also been entertaining himself by playing a little music - he appeared on the 17th with George Sarah and String Trio to perform a couple of songs during a benefit concert for The Children Are Our Future charity.
