Buffy News    28 October 2002
Sex and violence

Spike Jamers Marsters has revealed that if he were in charge of Buffy, he'd up the sex and violence quota on Buffy.

"It's the writers who are in control [however]. If it were the actors, we'd be kissing more chicks and beating up more guys," he joked in an interview with the Sunday Post.

After five years on the show, on and off, James still gets a thrill from working on the show. "I enjoy playing a character who is evil yet still does good things. Even though Spike's a vampire, he admits his faults."

One thing the bloodsucker is less keen on is the actual (fake) bloodsucking. "I don't enjoy the fake blood because it's strawberry syrup. They have a paramedic on standby because people have keeled over drinking it. Give me real blood please!"
