On June 19th 2008, a regular trip to the shops became a terrifying ordeal for one 13 year old girl. The teenager had been shopping for a birthday present for her sister in the Moreton Cross area of the Wirral.
An artisits impression of the frog tattoo.
At around 5:00pm she was waiting for her bus on Pasture Road outside the Coach and Horses pub. A man approached her and began to kiss and indecently assault her. The man slobbered as he spoke and had a distinctive frog style tattoo on his hand. The girl, petrified with fear, was too frightened to raise the alarm to the other people who were waiting for their bus.
At approximately 5:20pm, the ‘117’ bus to Clatterbridge arrived and most of the people got on this bus leaving the victim alone with her attacker.
The man then forced her to walk almost half a mile along Pasture Road past Moreton train station to the grounds of the former Cadbury’s factory. He then took her to a secluded pond hidden behind some trees where he forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. Eventually he let her go but only after she had repeatedly asked him if she could go home to her mother.
The offender was last seen at Moreton train station where he boarded the 6.01pm train towards Liverpool. Police are seeking anyone who might know who this man is, or who may have seen him on the day.
