back in time - and even to the future. The walk takes in ancient woodland
and many sites of prehistoric and Triassic life, as well as getting you

Getting
there: Bubbenhall is closer than you think. Despite feeling
like the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, it is only:
5 miles north of Leamington
7 miles south of Coventry
7 miles east of Kenilworth
By bus: Johnsons operate
a number of bus services to Bubbenhall, they are listed alphabetically by
starting point here:
Coventry / Bubbenhall service no 539
Kenilworth / Bubbenhall service no 539
Leamington / Bubbenhall service no 538
Warwick / Bubbenhall service no 539
Call Johnsons on 01564 797000 for full details.
Get off the bus at Pit Hill on Bubbenhall Village green (opposite the Three
Horseshoes pub). For an example of times, you can leave Kenilworth at 11.31
to arrive in Bubbenhall at 11.55 and then return at 4.34 to be back in Kenilworth
at 5.04. This should give you time for the walk and to sample the pubs!
By car: There is parking at the start of the walk in Bubbenhall Village,
either on unrestricted roads or in the pub or village hall car parks, if
you ask permission.
If you're up for walking a longer route, you can park
at Ryton Pools Country Park visitor centre and start the route from there.
Both options are marked on the map.

 |
Walk conditions: There are a number
of stiles on the route. All are very solid and have a maximum step up
of about 30cm. If you want to cycle, use
a pushchair or wheelchair, try the alternative Ryton walk which has no
stiles but covers the same fascinating area. Take
a look at the map to decide which option is best for your needs. NB:
Dogs should be kept on leads. Health and Safety information
