BlastYou are in: Coventry and Warwickshire > Blast > Hitchcock's Half Hour ![]() Hitchcock Hitchcock's Half HourBy Sarah Bygrave, BBC Blast music reporter Find out what happened when BBC Coventry & Warwickshire visited Warwickshire band Hitchcock in their studio... With a perfect combination of catchy tracks and an enticing visual show, Hitchcock certainly deliver when they take to the stage. Taking their name from watching an Alfred Hitchcock boxset, the electronica-duo ensure they excel themselves above the norm when performing. They deliver a show, not just a set, including visuals with a very theatrical vibe throughout the performance. ![]() Hannah interviews Matt Lead vocalist Matt Droog’s stage persona is one to rival a West End star or a blockbuster villain. Keeping every aspect of his performance extravagant and donning himself with thick black eye make-up, he certainly gets your attention and keeps good hold of it, with two white-gloved hands. BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Hannah Tobin and I went where the magic happens - Hitchcock’s Vada recording studios near Stratford-upon-Avon - to have a chat with the band and take a tour around the studio. The duo also recorded an exclusive acoustic performance of the insanely catchy single Smack Boom, which sounded fantastic. ![]() Sarah with Hitchcock We also spoke to Matt about his career as a music producer. Working for many years in the industry and producing bands such as One Night Only, Boy Kill Boy and Coventry’s own The Enemy, he is rapidly building a very successful catalogue of music - as a producer and as Hitchcock’s front man.
