Cardinal Wiseman won the Department for Children, Schools and Familes (DCSF) Award for Sustainable Schools in the West Midlands. The school has a full working farm on site, and a big commitment to helping the environment as well as enjoying links with a partner school in Malawi and an orphanage in India. ![]() Looking after the plants Even the school’s dinners have changed with their own brand of sausages, burgers and eggs now on the menu. And the electricity bill has dropped by £15,000 in just one year thanks to a greater awareness of waste and energy reduction.
