Cardinal Wiseman won the Department for Children, Schools and Familes (DCSF) Award for Sustainable Schools in the West Midlands. The school has a full working farm on site, and a big commitment to helping the environment as well as enjoying links with a partner school in Malawi and an orphanage in India.  Looking after the plants Even the school’s dinners have changed with their own brand of sausages, burgers and eggs now on the menu. And the electricity bill has dropped by £15,000 in just one year thanks to a greater awareness of waste and energy reduction.
