Calder, a Cassidy Coventry Blaze forward, has been in fine form and during the 2007-08 season became the Elite Ice Hockey League’s record goal-scorer. The Canadian netted 58 times as Blaze went on to win the league title and British Knockout Cup. It was top arrows for Leamington’s Folkard who represented Great Britain in the archery at the Beijing Olympics. Folkard reached the last 16 in the women’s individual category and narrowly missed out on a medal in the team event. ![]() The winners The coach of double-winning Blaze, Paul Thompson, was named best manager while Khalsa Hockey Club won the team award. And BBC Coventry & Warwickshire’s Geoff Foster earned the title of Sports Reporter of the Year at the fourth annual ceremony held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Thursday, 9 October.
