Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Sports Awards 2008

Adam Calder and Naomi Folkard scooped the top honours at the 2008 Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Sports Awards.

Calder, a Cassidy Coventry Blaze forward, has been in fine form and during the 2007-08 season became the Elite Ice Hockey League’s record goal-scorer. The Canadian netted 58 times as Blaze went on to win the league title and British Knockout Cup.

It was top arrows for Leamington’s Folkard who represented Great Britain in the archery at the Beijing Olympics. Folkard reached the last 16 in the women’s individual category and narrowly missed out on a medal in the team event.
