The Big Picture
Make a world record
Join The Big Picture team in workshops across the Midlands to make the world's largest photo mosaic.
The final eight pictures have now been short listed from thousands submitted to The Big Picture campaign.
But only one image will be made into the final picture mosaic and this will be kept secret until the grand unveiling outside Thinktank at Birmingham’s Millennium Point on Saturday 23 August.
The Big Picture are now asking you to help make the mosaic in series across of workshops across the West Midlands.
The eight final images
The images have been selected by The Big Picture team alongside Artist Helen Marshall for their unique boldness, fascinating stories and their suitability to be reproduced into the huge scale work of art.
The final mosaic which will be a size equivalent to three tennis courts and comprise of 110,000 images, all of which you have sent into the campaign.
Selecting just eight images out of the thousands sent in from people across the region was a mammoth task for the Big Picture team. However, Project Manager Kerry Endsor was determined to find that final image.
"The final mosaic image should reflect one of the photos received from the public," she said
Kerry and the team worked hard to identify a shortlist of photos that not only represented the diversity of images submitted to the campaign but also an image that could work on the scale needed to break the world record.
“The great thing about The Big Picture is that every single photo received will be used in the mosaic" said Kerry.
