BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Faye Chambers visited a project in Warwickshire, which will benefit. Over £1.1 million of Children in Need's money is going to 32 projects in the Midlands. This means that the charity are now helping 162 projects across the region. One of these projects is Taking the Reins, which is based in Cawston, near Rugby. They help children - from a variety of backgrounds - to build confidence and communication. ![]() Ponies and horses help with confidence Taking the Reins is run by Circles Network and uses the Equine Facilitated Learning technique to improve a child's confidence and assist in communication. The children work with the horse or pony in an enclosed pen and develop a bonded trusting relationship with each other in this safe environment. BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Faye Chambers went along to Taking the Reins and met a number of children with a range of needs, including Lucy, who has needed extra support to build her confidence since her mother's death three years ago.
