After a successful debut last year, the music festival Oxjam comes to Leamington Spa later this month. The event will help to raise money for the charity Oxfam throughout October. Concerts have been organised all over the the UK and a number of them are in Coventry and Warwickshire. One of these gigs takes place on Thursday, 25 October at Moo Bar in Leamington Spa and has been organised by CSV Community Catylist, Lucy Grafton. She hopes the event will attract younger people to get involved in volunteering events - And with up and coming local band The Ripps headlining, it promises to be a great night of music. ![]() The Rrrs Lucy, who is based at BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, said: "This is the perfect example of how young people can make a difference by doing something fun and exciting. The bands are performing for free and many of the bar staff are donating their evening's pay. There will also be a raffle to raise more money on the night and one of the prizes is a day in a recording studio!" Joining The Ripps are The Rrrs and Kalenko. The doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £4 - All of which goes straight to Oxfam.
