Poetry in motion

Two Giraffes have recorded their own World Cup song. Have a listen to Pure Poetry.

Steve Edgson and Sam McNulty reckon they've written the most whistle-able world cup song ever. The Earlsdon duo Two Giraffes have reworked their track Bad Poetry into a World Cup song entitled Pure Poetry.

Pure Poetry follows in the great tradition of English World Cup songs from the likes of New Order, Baddiel and Skinner, Fat Les and Embrace!

Sam and Steve were founder members of the band The Giraffes, who released several singles in the late 80s and early 90s. Now a duo, they brought out their first album Twelve Songs earlier this year, which featured the original version of their World Cup song.
