Kirstie Logan, her guitarist Paul and manager Woody visited BBC Coventry & Warwickshire to appear on Anita Miah's evening show. At just 15 years old, Kirstie is one of the youngest singers in Coventry's local music scene. After beginning to sing at the age of five, Kirstie joined Coventry Schools Choir. It was there that she taught herself to play piano, and in 2002 began to learn to play the guitar and write songs. At the beginning of 2005, Kirstie took part in the recording a Tsunami benefit single at J10 studios with around 40 other local artists. It was there that her mum met future manager Woody, who gave her a gig just a few days later at the launch of the single. Staying in school Despite her young age, Kirstie already has a wise head on her shoulders, preferring to finish her education and get her GCSE's before she even considers a career as a musician: "My intentions aren't to become a musician - Because if I got too involved in wanting to become a musician, I know I wouldn't try at school. "I've already been asked by a record company to leave school and not have any qualifications, but it would be awful and I would have nothing to fall back on if I didn't get a number one or I got sacked."
