The Rrrs are a female fronted quartet who formed in November 2004 at the University of Warwick. Formally known as Stari and The Mourning Woods and Multiskins, the group play happy, fun alternative pop laced with sarcasm, paranoia and sex. Rowan Gifford - Lead Guitar Ezra Carcosa - Vocals/Guitar Matt Peet - Drums Les Woods - Bass Fronting the band is rockstar in training Ezra Carcosa - AKA Sharliza R, who describes herself as, "an hourglass, guitar-wielding Singaporean woman-child." She plays rhythm guitar and writes the songs. On guitar is Rowan Gifford, who also plays bass in our February band of the month Jaffa Rose. The band is completed by the rhythm section of Matt Peet on drums and the master of the 'cool but bored' style, Les Woods on bass. The Rrrs gig regularly around Coventry and Warwickshire and are constantly in the process of refining their sound. They've just recorded their debut EP entitled Fly and you can here the lead track Fly (I Feel Great) below.
