Cox's Yard showcases some of the region's best unsigned bands, as well as a selection of more established acts and some quality tribute bands.

There is an annual Battle of the Bands for local and unsigned acts. In 2006 the event takes place every Wednesday, featuring bands from around the region and boasting prize money of £3,000 to the winners.

There is also a monthly comedy night on the last Thursday of the month.

Getting a gig

Cox's Yard's policy of booking bands is "anything goes". If you want a gig then send a demo to the venue at the address below, addressed to Geoff Alun-Jones.
