The Golden Cross is the oldest pub in Coventry and is located in the medieval heart of the city. The pub hosts regular gigs featuring the best local bands from Coventry & Warwickshire. Built around 1583, the Golden Cross is located on Hay Lane, near the Cathedral, and is one of the oldest surviving medieval timber framed buildings in Coventry. Many of the gigs that take place at the Cross have free entry, so they draw decent crowds. This makes it an ideal place to play for young up and coming bands. Getting a gigYou can send a demo directly to the venue. Visit www.covscene.co.uk/cross/ for more information.
